The post holder will work as part of a well-established team, providing a reliable and effective money advice service, across all advice channels and access points, utilised by Citizens Advice Bury & Bolton.
We have a national reputation across the Citizens Advice network as experts of immigration knowledge and service delivery. As an organisation, we are accredited to the highest level within the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) and Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme (IAAS) – this means we are able to provide immigration advice to all levels, including to appeal and judicial review.
Citizens Advice Bury & Bolton offers both Legal Aid funded services to clients and a private fee-paying, not for profit, service. You will be required to work across both these areas. Working as part of our immigration advice team, you will engage with clients over the phone, email and face to face.
You will liaise with contacts within the Home Office to find resolutions for clients and you will understand the importance of security and data protection to ensure all data is protected in line with GDPR legislation. You will be proficient in the use of computer packages with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. You will have an open and friendly demeanour and be able to work as part of a diverse team.
